about

What are lyrics? What are lyrics in electronic music? Or is it just another play on words? Stanislaw Lem, a polish science fiction writer, wrote a lot of novels, essays and dramatic adoptions. His works explore philosophical themes; speculation on technology, the nature of intelligence, the impossibility of mutual communication and understanding, despair about human limitations and mankind's place in the universe. They are sometimes presented as fiction, but others are in the form of essays or philosophical books.

During the last two years, the sound artist Christian Wegener, better known as Krischan, tried to set most of the SciFi novels to music. Sometimes a complete novel, sometimes a fragment or protagonist - like Ijon Tichy. The entire Œuvre will complete in 2013 and includes three albums - the second CD will be released soon.

Meanwhile Krischan re-releases the first album of the triple set in new sound quality - as his first album on bandcamp.com. Follow him through time and space for a while and enjoy his creation of sound design and metaphoric illusions.
