about

Berlin based ambient artist Krischan (Christian Wegener) releases his fourth album [waveforms] as an intermediate up to his previous triple album Lyrics in Electronic Music [L.E.M.] .

With [waveforms] Christian comes back to simple pad and drone lines combined with self-recorded noises and artificial soundscapes deeply immerged with colorful arpeggiated waveforms. The melody – sometimes in front, sometimes only a far echo - in every track comes back to the same sequence played between C# and b. This refers to the definite mood of the entire album.

Once again, Krischan tries to find the frontiers of intention, instruments and twisted sounds. He opens up the audio spectrum with massive Taiko drums, wide-spreading choirs, famous synthesizer patterns, like the Yamaha CS-80 and “other kinds of playing music”, like scratching a piano wire with a bow. In his mind, every noise is a playable tone and every tone leads to new inspirational performances.

[waveforms] is a multi-colored album made of six intensive and genuine tracks. Every moment in your life is a significant and unique blink of an eye – accompanied with true meaningful music. Sit back, relax and enjoy it!

When buying the complete album, you will receive an 8-sided booklet as bonus item.
